gnocci cooking - Italian language classWinter is approaching and here we present two ideal Italian dishes which guarantee to keep you warm during the whole season! Learn how to make Gnocchi with gorgonzola piccante or just plain to enjoy with your family and friends in the warmth of your home. What’s a better start than a glass of Italian wine and appetizer to relax after a strenuous day at work? You will also learn how to make focaccia bread to taste at the restaurant or take away. All in a fun loving environment where you will have the chance to mingle with other people with your same passions and interests.

An Italian beginner lesson is also included while cooking. You will learn how to introduce yourself in Italian, greetings, formal and informal way to address. You will be able to express your nationality, learn the name of the ingredients and a few verbs as we get on. Culturally speaking, you will learn the origins of Gnocchi and Focaccia. Customers will also get photocopies with Italian notions we are going to cover and recipes in English.

Not suitable for people with allergies to wheat.

“The flavours of Italy” following dad Vincenzo’s and step-mum Antonella’s recipes.

Class overview:

Come and relax after a hard day of work and enjoy a glass of authentic Italian red wine. Learn how to make the most popular dish PIZZA MARGHERITA following dad Vincenzo’s recipe (pizza with mozzarella and tomato sauce) which you can eat at the end of the lesson or take home with you. Also discover how to make a delicious crostata (Italian jam tart) following step mum Antonella’s recipe and tips.

In this workshop you will also be able to eat an appetizer such as bruschetta or piadina at the beginning of the lesson.

Come and discover the origins of these two traditional home made classics. Enrich yourself by learning Italian culture and language at the same time as making healthy and delicious food with your hands. Mingle with others and share your interests and experiences. Have fun with with us! Friendly and competent tutors will make you feel at ease making your experience a REAL ITALIAN EXPERIENCE.

“Il dolce cooking” following Lena grandma’s recipes along with a taste of Italian language and culture.

With this innovative initiative you will learn how to make grandma’s ciambellone which you will eat at the end of the lesson along with a glass of bubbly.

Have fun while you learn how to make your favourite Italian dish in your own kitchen at your own convenience. A recipe will be provided at the end of each class. All ingredients are provided!

Enjoy learning languages through cooking, in the company of your friends and relatives. The session will also give you the chance to learn and practice Italian at “all levels”.

Classes are subject to availability. Languages Alive reserves the right to suggest you another date and allocate you to another group should the class you intend to attend is full or there are not enough participants. Classes do not run during public holidays.

Customers have to bring their own apron if they wish to have one.

Refunds are not available where a notice of minimum of 48 hours is not given. Languages Alive assumes no liability for injury, delay, inconvenience, irregularity, loss or damage to person or property or additional cost resulting directly or indirectly from the following causes: fire, acts of government, thefts, delays, cancellations or for any other events with which we have no control.
